We’re so happy to have this attractive new online home. We think this site is better able to explain our work, share resources, and highlight some of the exciting work our partners and allies are doing in the field.

As you poke around, note some of the features you’ll find here in our new online home:

  • Our new resource called the Art of Policy Change, which illustrates the impact that art, media and cultural projects can have on policy debates.
  • A new calendar of national and regional events that focus on the intersections of arts and democracy.
  • Updated versions of our 24 Bridge Conversations essays, which share reflections from artists, organizers, and other leaders creating hybrid programs, strategies, and lives.
  • Archived audio and resource lists from our briefing calls, which highlight interesting arts & social change projects clustered around particular issues and themes.
  • Writings that present our thinking on the concept of cultural organizing.
  • Information about convenings and presentations that Arts & Democracy staff have presented or co-sponsored in the last couple of years.
  • A set of 12 essays we commissioned a few years ago to profile exemplary projects that connect arts and culture with community transformation – still relevant today.

We welcome any feedback you may have as you check out the new site. Please email Caron@artsanddemocracy.org with any thoughts or ideas for improvement.
