Led by artist Monica Jahan Bose, the bilingual (English / Bangla) workshop series Prokash / Reveal took place from July - Oct 2021. Sessions began on Zoom and then took place live on the Ave C Plaza in Kensington, Brooklyn. They provided an opportunity for immigrants and first generation youth to bridge multigenerational points of views related to identity, immigration, and biculturalism. Ali Asgar led sessions on identity, sexuality, and gender expression. The culminating performance on October 9 featured a community scroll created from the tapestries created by participants and an open mic. The artwork was also presented at the Oct 17 Celebrating Community concert on the plaza. Community members Fabliha Anbar and Farida Ruhil helped organize the workshop.
